CARTIER OFFICIAL PRE-OWNED WARRANTY IN AUSTRALIA

Mandatory Statutory Rights: Our goods come with guarantees of the Cartier official pre-owned dealer that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The Mandatory Statutory Rights apply only to Pre-Owned Watches (as defined hereunder) purchased in Australia and presented for guarantee services in Australia.

If you seek to rely on your Mandatory Statutory Rights under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to a defect in goods supplied, you may be entitled to recover by the Cartier official pre-owned dealer any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage that results from the defect. This may include the costs associated with transporting the watches to Richemont Australia Pty Ltd, a Cartier Boutique, a Cartier Authorized Retailer or a Cartier Authorized After-Sales Service Center.

Cartier Official Pre-Owned Limited Warranty in Australia:

This Cartier Official Pre-Owned Limited Warranty, gives you further benefits, which are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and any other laws in relation to the goods. 

The present Cartier Official Pre-Owned Limited Warranty applies to Cartier pre-owned genuine watches previously owned by a bona fide end-customer and sold to you by a Cartier official pre-owned dealer in Australia (a “Pre-Owned Watch”), and presented for warranty service in Australia.

The Logo de Cartier Official Pre-Owned International Limited Warranty guarantees your Pre-Owned Watch from any refurbishment defect of the official pre-owned dealer for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of your purchase (the “Warranty Period”) subject to the following exclusions.

Upon expiration of the Warranty Period, any services or repairs will be subject to a service charge.

Your Cartier Official Pre-Owned Limited Warranty does not cover, notably:

- defects and damages resulting from misuse or negligence, or from accident;

- defects and damages caused by improper use (knocks, dents, crushing to the case, crystal, bracelet or strap, etc.), alterations, tampering, dismantling or unauthorized modifications or repairs, as well as services, works and repairs performed by anyone other than a Cartier Boutique, a Cartier authorized retailer, a Cartier official pre-owned dealer or a Cartier authorized after-sales service center, or caused by the use of components, spare parts and/or accessories other than those recommended by Cartier;

- Pre-Owned Watches where the serial number originally engraved on the Pre-Owned Watch case is removed or not clearly legible, or where any part of the original Pre-Owned Watch back or any original number has been removed, changed, altered, replaced, erased or defaced;

- routine maintenance and cleaning, as well as the consequences of the normal wear and tear and ageing of the Pre-Owned Watch;

- any defects resulting from the contact with water, if your water-resistant Pre-Owned Watch did not undergo the water-resistance tests required by Cartier each time the case was opened for any reason (including, for instance, replacement of a battery), or if your Pre-Owned Watch is not water-resistant.

If your Pre-Owned Watch is returned during the Warranty Period, Cartier shall, at its sole discretion, repair your Pre-Owned Watch free of charge. Upon expiration of the Warranty Period, any services or repairs will be subject to a service charge

In order to benefit from this Cartier Official Pre-Owned International Limited Warranty, you are invited to contact or visit a Cartier Boutique, a Cartier authorized retailer, a Cartier official pre-owned dealer or a Cartier authorized after-sales service center, by presenting your Cartier Official Pre-Owned International Limited Warranty duly activated at the time of your purchase by a Cartier official pre-owned dealer. You are therefore required to retain your Cartier Official Pre-Owned International Limited Warranty. You are responsible for transportation costs, including but not limited to postage, insurance and packing materials. We recommend that any shipment to us include certified delivery and insurance.

Only Cartier Boutiques, Cartier authorized retailers, Cartier official pre-owned dealers and Cartier authorized after-sales service centers are entitled to provide warranty services as defined herein. For more information and a complete list of Cartier Boutiques, Cartier authorized retailers, Cartier official pre-owned dealers and Cartier authorized after-sales service centers, please consult the Cartier website at www.cartier.com, or ask the Cartier Boutique, the Cartier authorized retailer or the Cartier official pre-owned dealer indicated in your sales documents.

This Cartier Official Pre-Owned Limited Warranty does not affect any other rights you may have under the applicable national legislation. Such rights may vary from one country, state, province or territory to another. 

Your Cartier Official Pre-Owned Limited Warranty shall in no event be considered as a guarantee or certificate of authenticity.
