CARTIER EYEWEAR WARRANTY FOR AUSTRALIA

CARTIER EYEWEAR WARRANTY FOR AUSTRALIA*

Mandatory Statutory Rights: our goods are covered by warranties that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You may ask for product replacement or for a refund in case of a major failure and you may claim compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Mandatory Statutory Rights apply only to frames purchased in Australia and presented for warranty services in Australia.

If you wish to enforce your Mandatory Statutory Rights under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to a defect in the goods supplied, you may be entitled to recover any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage that results from the defect. This may include the costs associated with transporting the frames to a Cartier Boutique or a Cartier Eyewear Authorized Retailer.

Cartier Eyewear Warranty:

The Cartier Eyewear Warranty grants further benefits that are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to your Mandatory Statutory Rights under the Australian Consumer Law, your Cartier frames are warranted against any manufacturing defect for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of purchase stated on your warranty booklet (the “Warranty Period”). If your frames are returned during the Warranty Period, The Grantor will either repair or replace, free of any charge, any part that is confirmed as defective by Grantor’s Technical Services as a result of a manufacturing defect, subject to the exclusions mentioned below. Upon expiration of the Warranty Period, any repairs will be subject to a service charge.

* This Cartier Eyewear Warranty for Australia is issued by Kering Eyewear S.p.A. (the Grantor”) for Cartier Eyewear products.

Your Cartier Eyewear Warranty does not cover:

  • damages resulting from accidents, mishandling or improper use (for example knocks, dents, breakage, etc.), unauthorized alteration, manipulation or repair,
  • the lenses.

Should your Cartier frames prove defective, you may enforce the Cartier Eyewear Warranty by bringing or sending your frames to any Cartier Boutique or Cartier Eyewear authorized dealer. For more information and a complete list of Cartier Boutiques and Cartier Eyewear authorized dealers, please visit the Cartier website www.cartier.com or the Cartier Boutique or Cartier Eyewear authorized dealer indicated on the Certificate in the warranty booklet that accompanies your Cartier frames. Only Cartier Boutiques and Cartier Eyewear authorized dealers may provide the Cartier Eyewear Warranty service in accordance with Grantor’s instructions.

In order to benefit from this Cartier Eyewear Warranty, you will be required to produce the Certificate in the warranty booklet that accompanies your Cartier frames, duly completed, dated, stamped and signed by your Cartier Boutique or Cartier Eyewear authorized dealer in Australia. Please be sure to retain this certificate at all times. Subject to your Mandatory Statutory Rights under the Australian Consumer Law, if you make a claim under this Cartier Eyewear Warranty (instead of your Mandatory Statutory Rights), you may be responsible for transportation costs, including but not limited to postage, insurance and packing materials.
